Get Work Experience

With the Covid-19 pandemic, all traditional work experience placements have been disrupted or cancelled in some way – universities, apprenticeship providers and employers will be aware of this, so don’t worry. They will, however, be looking at other types of work experience you have taken part in that don’t involve being in a workplace. For example:

  • virtual work experience placements
  • online talks or Q&A sessions with people in a relevant career/industry
  • conversations with people in a relevant career/industry (this could be a family member or family friend)
  • insight activities/days available on company websites in place of their work experience placements
  • keeping up to date with industry news

Arguably, this means that these opportunities are more available to you since instead of only hosting a small group of people in-house, they can host a lot more people online.
